This is a project that started as an attempt to learn more about our human social networks. It grew out to be a deeply personal work that dives deep into my experience as a young person in a big city and an even bigger world. I talk about topics like addiction, social media, love, politics and parties through a spoken word immersive experience.
This work is rooted in Dutch protest culture; I’ve been inspired by protest chants and signs, Dutch punk/rap and experimental electronic music.
The visuals are a result of extensive experimentation in touchdesigner, so apart from creating a visual language for this project the process of creating the visuals was also a big learning experience for me. By using realtime audio reactive visual systems that evolve over time I tell you a story while immersing you in an interpretive dreamworld, where life, nature and technology draw a sharp contrast.
